Suhail is a Freelance Environmental and Investigative Journalism based in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. Suhail has over 10 years’ experience in Broadcast Journalism and has won accolades at the Uganda National Journalism Awards in the field of Investigative and Educational reporting. As a journalist, he has a knack of telling stories very few people can and during his tenure at NTV Uganda one of Uganda's leading TV Stations, he created a weekly TV News Feature and Mini Documentary series called “NTV Green” which focused on Nature, Wildlife, Environment and Climate Change mitigation and Conservation a show he produced, edited, voiced and presented for over three years. Suhail has done trainings in Investigative Journalism from the United States of America under the International Visitors' leadership Program, Environmental Journalism from Aga Khan University, Graduate School of Media and Communications, Training in Oil, Gas and Mining at the African Centre for Media Excellence and is part of a group of few African journalists investing online trade in illegal wildlife with the a Special training in online illegal wildlife trade at Thomson Reuters Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand and The Global Initiative Against Organized Crime. Suhail is media consultant experienced in networking with media houses and other outlets to gather and disseminate news, he specializes in Features Reporting, Documentary films. He has also established a good contact base as Senior Features Reporter in the East African Region specializing in areas such as Environmental, Politics, Business, Health and Conflict situations.
