Dr Eric Nzeyimana, the EAC Principal Health Officer, announced that the EAC HDG Framework is expected to be operational within six months and will be reviewed by the 24th EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health. Financial support for the framework's development has been provided by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA)-funded Integrated Health Programme and the USAID-funded Local Health System Sustainability project. HELINA has been recognized as a strategic partner in transforming the region's health sector with digital technologies.
