Tamta Chkhaidze is a journalist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Ever since I can remember, I've been passionate about storytelling, the power of clear communication, and stories itself. This passion has driven me to build a career that bridges journalism and strategic communication. Today, my approach is focused, insightful, and human-centered. As a versatile communicator, I can connect with diverse audiences and adapt my storytelling to various platforms. My journey has taken me from reporting on regional issues in Georgia to supporting human rights defenders, where I currently work as a Communications Officer. I’m also pursuing a Ph.D. in Mass Communications at Tbilisi State University, with research focusing on fake news and propaganda in the media landscapes of Georgia, Ukraine, and Estonia. As an invited lecturer at the same university, I find joy in sharing my knowledge and sparking curiosity in my students. Alongside my work at human rights defending organisation, I contribute as a freelance journalist to several Georgian media outlets, staying closely connected to the local media scene and reporting on stories that matter. I also bring my love for photography into my work, capturing compelling visuals to accompany my articles. With a background in Political Science (BA) and Mass Communications (MA), I’ve gained a deep understanding of journalism, media relations, and visual content creation. I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that make a difference, and I've been recognized for my efforts to bring regional stories to a broader audience.
