Sani Aliyu is a multimedia broadcast journalist currently based inside Sudan. He has more than 15 years experience as a field reporter, producer and presenter. He started his career as a software/web developer in Nigeria, then moved to Egypt and Sudan, where he was snapped up by the Hausa Service of the BBC. Apart from the BBC, he has worked with TRT Afrika, Media Trust Group (owners of Daily Trust, Aminiya, Trust Radio, and Trust TV as a social media manager for the group. With a lot of experience in both print and broadcast journalism, he is also adept at conducting interviews and gathering information. A fast and accurate journalist who requires little supervision in order to meet tight deadlines. He speaks and writes in several languages fluently, namely Hausa, English, Arabic, Pidgin English and understands French.
