A small enterprise in the service industry in Gauteng, South Africa, applied Lean Six Sigma principles to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The case study utilized the DMAIC approach and involved interviews, brainstorming, observations, and a time study. Results indicated a significant lack of knowledge about Lean Six Sigma among the business owner and consultants. However, management's commitment facilitated the DMAIC implementation, leading to a 60.3% reduction in non-value-added time, a 53.85% increase in value-added time, a 10.74% increase in uptime, and a 47.7% reduction in downtime over three months.
