Filming and editing - The European Pavilion's Liquid Becomings year-long art project which came to an end in the Portuguese capital Lisbon.
I was sent, along with a culture journalist, to the French Mediterranean island of Porquerolles to film an exhibition called 'The Infinite Woman' and interviews with the curator Alona Pardo and director of Villa Carmignac, Charles Carmignac. Camera used - Sony a7siii, audio - Deity Theos digital wireless kit. Following the shoot I was tasked with editing the story, including adding music bed and graphics, for distribution on the Euronews website.

A European wine that echoes the EU's motto? It's now available in a bottle
Oenope has created the Borderless European Wine, a project aimed at fostering solidarity among European winegrowers in the face of global challenges. Inspired by the EU's motto 'United in Diversity', founders Jerome Felici and Françoise Roger have produced a wine that embodies the characteristics of each vineyard involved. Euronews Culture sampled the first cuvée of White and Red 2020 at the European Pavilion, organized by the European Cultural Foundation, and found it to be a unique and pleasant experience, though not all the described aromas and flavours were identifiable.
Dutch artists question EU migration policy with Forbidden Garden project
Dutch designers Tymon Hogenelst and Jesse van der Ploeg of Studio Wild created The Forbidden Garden of Europe, an art project that uses materials from plants banned by the EU to reflect on the Union's migration policies. The project, which includes The Forbidden Tempietto, a tribute to those struggling to find common ground in Europe, was developed for the 17th Venice Biennale of Architecture and is on display at the Swiss Institute in Rome until the end of the year.
United we stand - Celebrating European culture through dialogue, dining and design
The European Cultural Foundation's European Pavilion project aims to create educational spaces for art and cultural professionals, build intergenerational bridges, explore new identities amidst migration, address sustainable development in the context of climate change, and discuss the importance of culture during crises like the war in Ukraine. Over two years, artists, writers, researchers, and designers have debated these topics, fostering a sense of collective belonging and celebrating commonalities over divisions in Europe.
