Vucic boycotts the EU Summit: Nobody from Serbia will go to Tirana
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that Serbia will boycott the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tirana on December 6, criticizing the EU's reaction to the appointment of Nenad Rasic as a minister in the Government of Kosovo. Vucic emphasized the need for the EU to respect Serbia and its citizens, highlighting the importance of adhering to agreements made in Brussels. The summit aims to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the EU and the Western Balkans.
Borrell: Kurti and Vucic did not agree on a solution today
EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell announced that no agreement was reached between Albin Kurti and Aleksander Vucic in their meeting. Borrell disclosed that a proposal to de-escalate tensions was accepted by Vucic but not by Kurti, which involved Kosovo suspending fines for re-registration of license plates and Serbia halting the issuance of KM license plates. Borrell emphasized that the rule of law should not be used to escalate the situation, noting a deterioration since their last meeting three months prior.
