Concordia University's Hall Building was evacuated due to a loss of electricity connected to a downtown gas leak. The evacuation occurred around 1:15 p.m., and the building was expected to reopen around 3:45 p.m. but eventually reopened at 5 p.m. Power outages began around 11:30 a.m., and Hydro Québec was unable to estimate when power would return.
