The second day of the Cajamarca-Celendín Peoples' Summit focused on encouraging active participation from visiting delegations. Participants worked in groups to discuss environmental issues, climate change impacts, and solutions, presenting their findings on paper charts. A moment of silence was held for environmental conflict victims. The afternoon featured a panel on climate change and natural resources with leaders like Marco Arana and Hugo Blanco. Workgroups later discussed democracy, human rights, fair economy, and defense of communal goods. Congressman Jorge Rimarachín spoke against intimidation of political and environmental leaders and announced a climate march in Lima. The summit will conclude with a plenary to share proposals ahead of the COP20 conference in Lima.
