About Clementina
Clementina Njang Yong is a multi-award winning Journalist based in Bamenda, Cameroon. I obtained a BSc in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea in Cameroon. My Master's Degree is from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. I have more than 15 years in broadcast and corporate communication. Currently, I am the Head of the Communication Department at the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services. I am the main person in charge of all communication within this Health institution, the second biggest health implementer after the government of Cameroon. 
I have received several awards. I received the Chevening Award and I studied in the UK under this award. Thanks to this award, I successfully studied Professional Communication at the University of Aberdeen. I also received a National Press award from the Eye Newspaper in 2014/2015 in recognition of my relentless efforts and selfless contribution in the health sector as a health journalist who engages in communication that brings about societal change. I have equally been a recipient of a National Investigative Journalism Award on Human Rights and Corruption organized by the British High Commission and the US Embassy in partnership with the Commonwealth Journalists Association, CJA Cameroon.

My current work is published in all communication outlets of the CBC Health Services (Social Media, Radio, Newsletter, Health Magazine, website, etc).

The Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) is a faith-based healthcare organization in Cameroon, known for its commitment to providing care as an expression of Christian love. The organization has been recognized for its work during the DHS Tournament in Bafoussam and has received support from Hope and Healing International, which has funded a solar power plant and water system for Ngounso Baptist Hospital. The CBCHS has also been involved in training surgeons for clubfoot surgical procedures, with the support of Hope and Healing International. Additionally, an elite couple from the USA, Drs. Odilia and Elias Bongmba, have raised significant funds for the construction of a maternity block at Ndu Baptist Health Center.

Prof. Tih Pius Muffih, the outgoing Director of Health Services, delivered a farewell speech to the leaders of CBC Health Services during a fellowship meal. He reflected on the department's achievements and challenges, including surviving the post-missionary era, economic downturns, the HIV pandemic, the Anglophone war, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Prof. Tih emphasized the importance of visionary leadership, unity, and servant leadership to sustain the department's success. He urged the leaders to maintain the mission and vision, show compassion, uphold excellence, embrace innovation, collaborate, steward resources responsibly, engage with the community, and foster continuous learning. Prof. Tih also hinted at the upcoming election of a new Director and the importance of supporting the chosen successor. He concluded with gratitude for the team's dedication and confidence in their future success.

US Ambassador to Cameroon Visits PEPFAR Supported projects in SW Region

U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon, Christopher John Lamora, visited PEPFAR-supported sites in the Southwest region, including Baptist Hospital Mutengene and the National Early Infant Diagnosis Reference Laboratory. During his visit on July 20, 2022, he praised the high-quality healthcare provided and affirmed the U.S. government's continued partnership. The facilities contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS and have responded effectively to COVID-19 with U.S. support. Ambassador Lamora addressed challenges such as stock outs of Viral Load reagents and promised to work on supply chain issues. This visit was part of his initial tours to U.S.-funded projects in Cameroon since assuming office.
