Nigeria's economy is heavily impacted, with an estimated loss of $55 million daily. Structural issues, such as lack of infrastructure, manual processing, and rampant bribery at checkpoints, contribute to the inefficiency. A new digital platform, ETO, intended to streamline operations, has been unsuccessful, leading to a black market for registration documents. The port's dysfunction is affecting the cost of goods and the ability of businesses to operate effectively in Nigeria.
