DR Congo: Katumbi and Fayulu United In Fight Against Constitutional Amendments

Voices continue to be raised calling for peace to return once and for all to the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where insecurity is growing as a result of the war between the FARDC (Forces armées de la RDC) and the M23, supported by Rwanda. This insecurity is exacerbated by the regular proliferation of armed groups. This time it's the NGO EQUASUT (Eau de qualité et en quantité suffisante pour tous), one of the civil society structures working in the environmental field, which has stepped up to the plate. More than 60 people have already died in the Panzi health zone, located in Kwango province, over 600 kilometers from Kinshasa in the southwest of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), due to an as yet unidentified disease. Apollinaire Yumba, Minister of Health for Kwango province, who provided this information, pointed out that the provincial government had already dispatched a team of health specialists to the site to take samples to be sent to the Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) for in-depth examination and identification of the disease in question.
