ImamoPravoZnati.org (IPZ) is a digital tool that encourages citizens to actively participate in democracy by requesting information from public bodies and publishing requests online. Popravi.to, created in collaboration with Code for Croatia and Gong, is a free tool that facilitates the reporting of problems and damages in public areas and infrastructure throughout Croatia.

FEMIX, an organization dedicated to affirming women's creative work, has initiated Serbia's first Rock Camp for girls to address the underrepresentation of women in music. The camp, inspired by a similar program in Portland and the Swedish organization Popkollo, aims to empower girls aged 10-14 through music education and workshops on public performance, women in music, and gender stereotypes. The camp's educational program is complemented by creative workshops where participants form bands and perform at a final concert, fostering a sense of community and solidarity.

The Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) in Sarajevo has released a research report on media freedom in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), highlighting the challenges faced by journalists in 17 local communities. Funded by the European Union, the report is part of the 'Real Voice of Journalism' project and reveals issues such as financial dependence on local authorities, censorship, and threats to journalists. The report, contributed to by 30 journalists, indicates that topics like nepotism, corruption, and post-conflict issues are difficult to report on, while economics and culture are easier. Media outlets like Radio Free Europe, N1 Television, Al Jazeera Balkans, and BIRN BiH are considered trustworthy. The research also points out the lack of media literacy among citizens and the influence of politics on media content. Journalists are working under poor conditions with low salaries, and there is a call for unity and independence in journalism to ensure professional and unbiased reporting.
