The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has invalidated the registrations of 817 candidates for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) due to infractions involving the use of unauthorized biometric fingerprints. JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, announced that affected candidates would be allowed to re-register at the expense of the Computer Based Test (CBT) centers responsible for the infractions. Additionally, JAMB has lifted the suspension on four out of five CBT centers previously penalized for overcharging candidates for registration pins, with excess payments to be refunded to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

Police Arrest Killer of Final Year Student of Benue State University
Police in Benue State have arrested Shagbaor Ugosor Japhet, an estate agent, for allegedly killing Erekaa Dooshimaa, a final-year student at Benue State University, after receiving N150,000 from her to find an apartment.
