Jen Gerson is an experienced journalist who has written for publications both within Canada and around the world, including the New York Times, Washington Post, the Economist, the National (UAE), the National Post, Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and Walrus. She is currently a contributing editor at Maclean's, and the co-founder of The Line, an independent commentary-based Substack publication. She is also provides frequent radio and television commentary for the CBC. She has worked as a journalist for more than a decade, both as a staffer at various newsrooms, a freelancer, and an entrepreneur and editor. She is also working on her first book, The Panic, which investigates the nature of moral panics through the lens of the '80s Satanic Panic, to be published by Penguin Random House whenever the world calms itself down for a few minutes.
