I am a lawyer, broadcaster and media practitioner with a background in legal reporting, human interest stories, and current affairs. My work spans radio and television, where I anchor news, lead conversations, report on contemporary issues and bring clarity to complex issues. Whether it’s breaking down policies or highlighting everyday voices, I care about telling stories that inform, uplift, and spark dialogue especially across Sierra Leone and the wider African context.

Portfolio
In this feature, I travel to Turtle Island in Bonthe District to spotlight Edward Aruna, Sierra Leone’s first-ever recipient of the prestigious Tusk Conservation Award (2024). Through his work with the Reptile and Amphibian Program (RAP-SL), Aruna is protecting endangered sea turtles and amphibians, while empowering local communities to take ownership of their environment.
As field reporter and presenter, I shaped the story from concept to final edit, conducting in-depth interviews, scripting, videoing and voicing the narrative. The report blends environmental journalism with human interest, giving global audiences a rare look at grassroots conservation in one of West Africa’s most biodiverse (yet overlooked) regions.

In this field report, I take viewers aboard the Global Mercy which is the world’s largest civilian hospital ship operated by Mercy Ships, during its mission in Sierra Leone. For thousands in the country, access to safe, timely surgery is a distant dream. This report explores how the ship is changing that reality by offering free, life-changing operations and specialized medical training for local professionals.
As both journalist and presenter, I led the story’s development from pitch to final script. I conducted on-site interviews with medical staff, local patients, and government partners, capturing both the technical and emotional layers of the story. The piece balances policy context with human impact, shedding light on what the ship’s extended mission until June 2026 could mean for long-term health system strengthening in Sierra Leone.
