Catarina Martins

Catarina Santos Martins is a journalist based in Porto, Portugal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures and a master’s degree in Journalism and Communication.

Fluent in English, in addition to her native Portuguese, Catarina has honed her skills in diverse environments, including an Erasmus exchange in Czechia and a traineeship at the European Parliament in Luxembourg, where she translated various parliamentary documents, including petitions and agendas, and recorded flash news.

With professional experience in prominent media outlets such as the national radio TSF, and the local radios Rádio Universitária do Minho and Rádio Nova, Catarina has developed expertise in conducting interviews, writing and editing journalistic pieces for radio, TV and online platforms, as well as delivering scripted, live, and pre-recorded reports.

She is a dynamic and adaptable journalist with a strong passion for her field, thriving in diverse and multicultural work environments. Her quick learning ability and versatile skill set, including strong verbal and written communication, enable her to navigate new challenges and collaborate effectively across various contexts.
